Can You Spot the Paid Fake Online Psychic Reviews?

My psychic reading blog is about how to spot scripted psychic testimonials and reviews.

It seems that some well known psychic services have been misleading customers by using scripted testimonials in the psychic reviews sections of Pinterest and YouTube.

After releasing my radio tips about finding the right psychic, A client from the Netherlands asked how authentic I thought many of the testimonials on the web and Youtube are. It is obvious to me that many of the testimonials I've seen have been scripted and performed by actors.

I find it very disappointing that well known psychic services stoop so low as to falsify online video reviews.


Here's how I identify scripted psychic video reviews:

• The reviews are over-the-top and unnatural.
• The actors make the reviews more like advertisements than testimonials. For instance, they go to great trouble to spell out the business web address, which is something nobody ever does when making a legitimate testimonial. 
• The psychic line business is supposed to be in Melbourne, Australia, but the video testimonials are by people from the USA or Europe. If the psychic line service is from Australia you'd expect it to have mostly Australian reviewers.
• The testimonials are often scripted in similar ways. eg: Even though reviewers are from different cultural and demographic backgrounds, they all say they were skeptical at first and they've never called a psychic before; They all read out the domain addresses; They're all very confident in front of a camera.
• The actors often read out the name of the psychic service inaccurately.
• Real testimonials describe the accuracy of the reading and share what came true etc. The fake ones are more about encouraging you to book a reading than sharing the experiences of the reading.
• I've been doing psychic readings for over 32 years and I've never known customers who want to put their face on a video testimonial for the whole world to see. When my customers call my psychic service they expect their personal details to be kept confidential.
• Finally, after looking at some video testimonials, I can then search the web and fairly easily find the same actors spruiking their services on the internet.

Psychic Reading Reviews Under Scrutiny

Last year, in my psychic reading editorial I warned about fake psychic reviews and astroturfing, and I also raised these concerns with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

The psychic reading blog is revealing how SEO fake psychic testimonials and reviews on forums and Australian and international directories are tainting all psychic businesses.

In the last few years Vine Psychic Reading Line has been dealing with persistent and belligerent business sabotage from marketing and SEO services engaging in these deceitful practices on behalf of online psychic reading competitors.  

We're not the only Australian online business that has been dealing with malicious online reviews. The restaurant and holiday accommodation industry has been hit hard by fake and misleading reviews. So have many other small businesses. 

While the Australian Competition and Consumer Act of 2010 is important to protect customers, small businesses also deserve equal protections to stop untruthful and malicious comments about them being placed on online rerview sites.

To protect businesses and consumers from the large number of fake and misleading reviews on business review sites, the ACCC has published best-practice guidelines for online review platforms.

The ACCC guidelines state that the marketing companies that have set-up misleading recommendations by fictional people, should declare their business partnerships and conflict of interests, and remove fake recommendations.

What is a Google+ author tag meant to represent? 

Google believed the author tag would allow their customers to trust content after they received complaint after complaint about spam scraping sites set up for AdWord revenue only. They tried to curb the activity of these black hat SEO sites.

Google believed if they introduced an author tag it would identify the owner of the content, this would then stop bad SEO engineers in their tracks. What has happened is the same perpetrators of SEO manipulation are now using fictional characters under the Google+ profile set up.

They look approachable, trustworthy when you look at their professional smiling photos which identify author content tags. They will share they have used psychic services and believe they can help you find real psychics.

Unfortunately there is direct bias in the psychic sites they're recommending. They seem to direct you to the large live psychic chat sites, failing to declare they have a business relationship with the companies involved.

Therefore the smiling photos on Google+ author tags are nothing more than fake psychic reviews updated by content writers who don't have any credible reputation.

Which marketing companies are engaging in these misleading business practices? 

Well if you click the young ladies photo profiles they'll direct you to the sites they're recommending and legally we can't name them, but the karmic consequences of misleading a customer will come home to roost. 

Just the fact they are using similar types of photo profiles should be a red flag to consumers. Demographically they appear to be young professional women. Which is probably who they're trying to segment. Some look like they are students. 

ACCC Getting Tough on Online Business Competition

The Australian Government Competition and Consumer Commission recently put large and small business on notice about misleading business practices.

The ACCC announced they were going to bring in tighter regulations about online business reviews, because the Australian consumer was being treated with contempt and small business was not having fair competition.

We need to specify to our customers that we do not engage in these practices.

Psychic Phone Reading

My reading with Vine has helped me see that spirit does exist and I would like to share why.

I initially contacted Vine for a reading over the phone, grief stricken because my partner and father to my child was tragically murdered.

I didn't share any information with Vine and asked could she contact someone who had passed.

Vine immediately started to tune into my late partner and described exactly what he looked like. She was being given a spiritual vision about where he had passed and proceeded to tell me he had died outdoors. This was correct.

She then shared some of the physical symptoms he experienced before his passing. My partner was stabbed several times and Vine accurately described the locations on his body and that several men were involved in the attack. This information was previously unknownto Vine and again my partner had shared the correct informationwith Vine.

I'm unable to describe everything about this now because there is currently a court case, but I can say that at no time was Vine aware of my call intentions, nor could she have known any of this information, as it was only known to me. Some of the information that was provided at the time of the reading was also factually correct but unknown to me at the time of the reading. I found out later.

I booked another reading with Vine on Valentine's Day and my partner came through again to talk about the paperwork around the house. I had legal documents lying on the floor. He talked about the court case and some of the things he had done before he was killed and then he told Vine he wanted me to go to a BBQ that I had been invited to that night. Before he said this, I wasn't going to go to the BBQ because I was grieving his loss. But Vine said that he wanted me to start to get out with our friends and didn't want me to stay indoors on Valentine's Day. There's no way Vine could have known about the BBQ or anything else.

He also shared through Vine, that he had been watching over our child and me since his passing, but it was time for him to let go and for me to honour his passing by taking back the reins of my life.

I went to the BBQ that night and I will now follow the guidance he gave me through Vine by honoring his memory.

I cannot explain how a Medium could share so much accurate and truthful information other than that Spirit does survive and that they care about us enough to use genuine mediums like Vine.

I kept asking the Vet last night just exactly what was wrong with our precious puss, but he did not really answer my questions.
